_after_HERE_ is an intermedia performance that reactivates the audiovisual remnants of a partially lost episode of the longest-running science fiction television series. By working with this material, I seek to excavate and expand this literal “lost future”—one that is not only materially absent but increasingly unlikely to be realized within our current trajectory. The work reconnects this lost future to the present, where distorted dreams of space exploration and colonization continue to haunt the cultural imagination while drifting further from their original utopian aspirations. What remains in the wake of these dreams eventual implosion is a possibility of anything.
